Breakout rooms allow moderators to conduct friendship or stranger pair conversations or small group exercises and then bring the breakout groups back to the main discussion. Moderators can decide who to group together in advance or on the fly, allowing them ultimate flexibility. They can group participants by demographic or put people of like-mind or oppositional opinion together.
