itracks, an innovative technology products and services company, is seeking a Systems Team Lead to oversee systems administration to help itracks continue to be best in its class.

We are providers of premier software and services for online research. Our Web-based technology services allow Market Researchers to conduct focus groups in an online setting. We are an innovative agile team dedicated to expanding our horizons and mastering new technologies to continuously position our products ahead of any competition. Some of our latest work includes utilizing cloud based compute power, leveraging VMware infrastructure, implementing and managing Exchange 2010.  Future projects include, expanding our presence in the cloud, infrastructure design to support multi-media (video) based Internet applications, and designing Systems architecture to support mobile applications for iOS and Android.

As a Systems Team Lead , you will be responsible for the following:

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance feedback  for the Systems Specialist role
  • Execute and implement systems projects including IS infrastructure, WAN/LAN networking, workstation deployments, and software installations
  • Maintain 99.99% uptime across the entire Itracks production environment
  • Manage a  365x24x7 systems monitoring program
  • Proactively make recommendations for Information Systems infrastructure
  • Work closely with the Director of Operations for strategic budget planning
  • Critical event management and communication
  • Be on-call on a rotating schedule
  • Oversee the maintenance of configuration and process documentation
  • Oversee server, desktop, and network security
  • Oversee the maintenance of network services
  • Oversee the VMware infrastructure
  • Sourcing and procuring Information Systems purchases (approval coming from the Director of Operations)
  • Communicate and lead planned maintenance outages

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Effective communication skills and the ability to assist non-technical staff with their problems/requests
  • Excellent problem solving skills, both proactive and reactive
  • Project management skills
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to multitask and handle several on-going projects
  • Experience with the following programs/applications would be a definite asset:
    • Microsoft SQL 2005 and SQL 2008
    • Microsoft Windows 2003 and 2008 server, Windows 7
    • Linux
    • Microsoft IIS
    • Microsoft Network Load Balancing
    • Microsoft Exchange Server 2010
    • Microsoft Group Policy
    • Symantec Backup Exec and AppAssure
    • Cisco ASA Firewalls
    • VMware
    • LAN architecture (Ethernet, gigabit Ethernet, SAN)
    • WAN architecture (DSU/CSU, T1, cisco routing RIP,EIGRP,BGP, OSPF)
    • Network Monitoring Environments
    • Virtual Private Networks (VPN)
    • Database Architecture

Education and/or Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years of related experience with a degree/diploma from a recognized institute.
    • A combination of education and experience may be considered
